Pakistani dramas have always maintained a good following. Our directors, and actors make sure that they keep the audiences hooked to their screens from the first till the last episode of the show.

Unlike previous dramas, we have observed a major shift in the recent ones. Generally, Pakistani dramas start with men and end with them too. What we are trying to say here is that mostly the lead character was played by a male actor. But now you can the trend is shifting. With women proving themselves in various areas of life, our drama serials have also started to acknowledge their roles in our society. We now see our favorite actresses playing lead roles in popular shows and we can’t be happier.

Here we have put together a few dramas in which the lead role is played by female. Check out.

Sana Javed, who has made a comeback on TV after two years, stars opposite Feroze Khan in Khaani, and people can’t get over the chemistry they share on screen.

Sana plays the role of Khaani, a simple girl who might look weak but her strong-mindedness won’t let her get down in front of injustice. On the other hand, Feroze Khan plays the role of Mir Hadi, who’s an egoist, with lots and lots of money. He’s totally spoiled but, somehow, he falls in love with Khaani who is his exact opposite!

Sana’s performance in the show is simply outstanding and we hope as the drama progresses, she manages to outshine her co-stars.

3. Mein Maa Nahin Banna Chahti on HUM TV

Mein Maa Nahi Banna Chahti is one of the most-forward shows of Pakistan, considering its interesting story and bold take on the issues of our societal norms.
