It’s that time of the month when love is in the air and all you see are red hearts. Or… you are a cynic and strongly believe that the day of love should be vanquished from the calendar. Either way, happily in love or single, you can’t help but be caught in the wave of mushy lovey-dovey-ness! And what better way to celebrate it with a movie that you can enjoy by yourself or with a loved one! Here are movies you need to watch this Valentine’s Day!
Balu Mahi is a Pakistani romantic comedy that stars Osman Khalid Butt, Ainy Jaffri Rahman and Sadaf Kanwal. The story is about a guy named Bilal aka Balu (OKB) who ends up stopping the wrong wedding and running away with the bride Mahi (Ainy Jaffri). The movie is fun to watch and will keep you entertained throughout!
The movie is a blockbuster, with a romantic plot fit for the occasion. The cast comprises of Armeena Rana Khan, Bilal Ashraf and Ali Rehman Khan. The movie has quite a few entertaining bits that will have you hooked to the screen. The story is about a girl who comes back to her ancestral home after a long time. Enter two of her cousins who are in love with her and she has to decide at the end.
Kaabil stars Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam; it has been doing really well at the box office and for good reason too. It has the usual Bollywood touch but the story is a breath of fresh air. The two leads are blind who fall in love and get married. Everything seems to be perfect until a tragedy hits them. It’s a tragic love story that will have you crying and feeling happy at the same time.
The story is about a man (Joaquin Phoenix) who is on the verge of a divorce but finds love in his computer’s Operating System. It sounds weird, I know. The movie is well executed and the Oscar will vouch for that. The OS is artificially intelligent and we see the journey of the most unconventional relationship. It’s a beautiful movie, filled with laughter and sobbing that is fit for any day, especially Valentine’s!
A Walk To Remember
Would it even be fair to make a list of movies to watch on 14th February and not add this classic? I didn’t think so either. If you haven’t seen it already, you need to watch the heartbreaking yet beautiful love story of Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan portrayed by Shane West and Mandy Moore. Make sure to keep a tissue box with your popcorn too!
