Some stars emerge from the crowds. Others travel from abroad. As confusing as it sounds, it is actually quite simple. Surprisingly, some of the leading celebrities of the Pakistani entertainment industry have dual nationalities. Most of them were not even born here.
Want to know who these celebrities are? Here is a list:
1. Kubra Khan
Pakistan’s new IT girl was born in London. She debuted with a small role in 2014’s ‘Na Maloom Afraad’. After, a short hiatus she came back with a bang and can now be seen starring in ARY Digital’s ‘Muqabil’.
Now, they may not have been endgame on the show. Nevertheless, there is still some connection between the two. For Kubra’s ‘Sang-e-Mar Mar’ co-star is next on our list.
2. Mikaal Zulfiqar
We always wondered what made Mikaal stand out in the crowd. Maybe it is because this heartthrob has English blood running in his veins. From ‘Saiqa’ to ‘Sang-e-Mar Mar’ he has managed to create an impact on the industry.
3. Armeena Rana Khan
Be it ‘Bin Roye’ or ‘Janaan’, Armeena usually fits the bill when it comes to playing characters from abroad. It is because she was born and raised in Canada.
This came off as a shock for we had pinned her down as British, because of her numerous films signed there. One of them is ‘The Real Target’ which will be releasing soon.
4. Ahsan Khan
Now, Paa Imtiaz from ‘Udaari’ may be an unshaved, morally corrupt man, but the actor playing him is not. Ahsan Khan, too like most celebs on this list, was born in London. We will soon see him on the big screen with Ayesha Omar in the upcoming movie ‘Rehbra’.
5. Sanam Saeed
Like many others, Sanam is a British-born Pakistani. This pic is taken from the sets of her upcoming film ‘Cake’.
This delicious film also stars the next person on the list.
6. Aamina Sheikh
Unlike her co-star Sanam Saeed, Amina is not British but American. She hails from the New York City. No wonder she felt right at home on the streets of ‘Jackson Heights’.
Surely, this explains some of their accents. Plus this dual citizenship must make the globe-trotting easier. Despite having dual nationalities, these celebs represent and stand for Pakistan.
