The 90’s star superstar, Govinda makes his comeback with ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ this Friday. The film has been the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. The yesteryear star shocked the media by pointing fingers on bigwigs like Karan Johar and David Dhawan; the latter with whom he gave strings of hits. According, to him no one came through during his struggling days after he disappeared from the scene.
We wonder if these controversial statements were a publicity stunt or pent-up frustration?
This film was Govinda’s answer to all the discrimination he has faced over the past ten years.
So did it pack a punch?
5 days to go – Aa Gaya Hero, releasing 17th March 2017.

First, let’s look at the trailer:
The Story:
Govinda plays a cop tracking down a terrorist, that can be identified by his distinctive laugh. (Ever heard a hyena laughing?) The cop forms a group called, Abhinay Chakra, to find this dangerous villain. Will this mysterious hyena-laughing-villain be found? That’s the question you don’t really need to watch the film to answer.
Our Verdict:
This movie feels like a blast from the past. Not only has a story that seems outdated its visuals feel like the equipment used was ancient too. There is no coherent screenplay, the story is all over the place. The over the top cheesy dialogues make you roll your eyes. It is a stale product in old packaging.
Will Govinda fans give it a thumbs up? We do not know as movie viewing is entirely subjective.
The film industry is equally speechless about it. The only tweet regarding the film was the self-proclaimed masala film fanatic, Ranveer Singh.

What we do know is that ‘Aa Gaya Hero’, made us go back home and watch old videos of Govinda. We ended up asking ourselves, kahan gaya hero?
