Amitabh Bachchan has been involved with many campaigns that educate the Indian public about social issues.
Now, Big B has revealed his will to the public and it wasn’t a traditional will. In a world where misogyny and gender inequality is so prevalent , Bachchan Sr. does it with class. In a Twitter post on Thursday morning, the veteran actor bequeathed all of his wealth equally among his son, Abhishek Bachchan and daughter, Shweta Nanda.

Traditionally in India, all the assets of the deceased are passed down to the son(s) and the daughters are not included in the will and testament. The influential actor recieved praise for speaking up on the topic.

The veteran actor recently wrote an open letter to his two granddaughters, four-year-old Aaradhya (Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s daughter) and eighteen-year-old Navya Naveli (Nikhil and Shweta Nanda’s daughter) in September 2016, keeping in view the social issues of India. In the letter, he urged his little girls to stay steadfast and follow their dreams regardless of the social pressures.
