On Tuesday, the Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry announced a total ban on screening Bollywood movies in local cinemas after India crossed LOC.
He took his Twitter account and said that the Cinema Exhibitors Association had decided to boycott Indian content. In a notice, the organization said they will take strong action against any Cinema owner who will screen Indian content.
Fawad Chaudhry also ordered the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Association (Pemra) to take action against Made in India Advertisements.

After the decision, Neuplex Cinemas also announced that they will only focus on local content until the situation gets normalized.
