The biggest Hindu festival of the year Diwali has begun. People from all over the world are celebrating Diwali in their own style. The day spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. Diwali’s celebrations includes millions of lights, lanterns and candles shining around temples, buildings and houses.
As the preparations starts, people clean and decorate their home and offices. And on the special Diwali night people dress up in new clothes and participate in prayers (puja). After prayers they exchange sweets and gifts between family members and close friends.
