International singer Edward Maya previously announced that his concert at Port Grand on the 18th of February was postponed, following the attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan.
According to a statement in Tribune by Atif Zubair, the co-organizer of the concert,
“We have delayed it to the first or second week of March now,”
He cited the Sehwan attack as the primary reason for the delay.
“Secondly, the security agencies warned us. They said the next 72 hours were crucial and we must not take any risk.”
The concert has now been rescheduled for March 2017 and new dates will be announced soon.
“Now the concert that is rescheduled for March will be a tribute to Pakistani people because whatever happens, we continue to be a resilient nation.”
