Pakistani heartthrob, Fawad Khan is the most demanded actor in both India and Pakistan. The actor has successfully stirred his magic in the film industry. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Fawad shared how he is hopeful regarding the cinematic exchange between the two countries.
The Humsafar star says, “The exchange of talent is increasing slowly. I would like an active exchange of movies too.”
The 34-year-old spoke for the Pakistani film industry, “We have been working on films and have been actively looking for talent from the Indian film industry to work with in Pakistani movies”
He added: “And it is not just me. Filmmakers such as Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, and actors such as Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, have all been trying to work across the border” and “It will take some time, and hopefully, I will be one of the first ones [to witness that change firsthand].”
Fawad also believes that the Indian film industry is far more credible than the Pakistani industry, on the technical side.
The Kapoor & Sons star says, “The Indian film industry has been around for more than 100 years now. So, it has far more credibility than the Pakistani film industry, which has witnessed a demise of sorts over the last 30 years. Now, the Pakistani film industry is getting back on its feet”
Film-maker, Jamal Shah recently revealed that he has approached Indian actress, Sonam Kapoor for the female lead for his next, “We are speaking to Sonam Kapoor for the female lead, whereas I have roped in Wiqar Ali Khan, Samiya Mumtaz, Indian actor Javed Jaffery, and many other television actors from Pakistan.”
Let’s see If Indian actors wish to promote to Pakistan’s reviving film industry or not. Fawad will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
