It is all about Sanam Re vs. Fitoor at the box-office this February 2016. So who is winning? The Aditya-Katrina starrer or team Pulkit-Yami?
According to the weekly Box-office number, Sanam Re has badly thrashed Fitoor.
Despite a weak budget and low star power, the movie is minting more money than Abhishek Kapoor’s entertainment endeavor. In Pakistan, Fitoor has recorded a total PKR 2.95 crore over the week. Just on its opening day, it reaped PKR 80 lakhs while Sanam Re estimated 30-35 lakhs. At the end of the week, the movie boasts more business than its rival movie Fitoor.
Meanwhile in India, Sanam Re’s week one performance lead up to a whopping profit of 23.5 corer while Fitoor flopped, achieving a mere sum of only 17 corer. Shocking right?
Who knew that with Fitoor’s stellar cast, a plot weaved on Charles Dickens’s magnum opus Great Expectations and the scenic beauty of Kashmir will terribly fail altogether to impress the movie buffs.
While, Sanam Re was branded as a stale clichéd romance tale, it still did wonders at the silver screen and ultimately outdid the much-expected-to-be-good Fitoor.
