Irrfan Khan to star in ‘A Case of Exploding Mangoes’ Adaptation


Renowned Pakistani writer Mohammad Hanif’s acclaimed novel A Case of Exploding Mangoes is set to be adapted into a feature film- starring none other than multifaceted actor Irrfan Khan.

Directed by Hammad Khan, the adaptation revolves around the account of the plane crash that killed former Pakistani president and military dictator General Zia-ul-Haq.

Feryna Wazheir, who debuted in Airlift, will play General Zia-ul-Haq’s wife Begum Shafiq Zia. The film also features Om Puri and Tisca Chopra.
