People were curiously waiting for this Eid ul Azha as three star-studded movies were set to be released and these grand movies were seen locking horns with each other.
These movies with different genres were released worldwide as well and they are being received well among masses around the globe.
It has been reported that one of the most talked awaited movies of the year Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 has had a terrific run. The first weekend total of the movie has summed up to stand a little more than Rs. 15.7 crores approximately.
On the other hand, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Hania Aamir starrer Parwaaz Hai Junoon saw massive numbers too. The film is doing phenomenal business at multiplexes of Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi and managed to collect around Rs. 12.684 crores.
Unexpectedly, Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa’s Load Wedding seem to be in trouble and it was given less screen space all over Pakistan for no apparent reason. At some places, the ratio of screens allotted to Load Wedding is 1:3 compared to the other two films but even then it has raked in close to Rs. 6.5 crores worldwide.
This is how you know why #LoadWedding is #BariEidKiBariFilm 👆 with finite amount of screening worldwide, the chartbuster did 6.5 crore business! 😲 What a loaded performance!! 🙌#Filmwalapictures #NabeelQureshi #FizzaAliMeerza #MehwishHayat #FahadMustafa #FaaizaHasan #DistributionClub #HarPalGeo #GeoFilm #EidulAzha #ZeeInternationalStudios
Some people also believe that as the movie should be tax-free as it delivers the social message of discouraging dowry in Pakistan. We believe so as well because in India films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Padman were given tax-free status because of their subject.
And then there is Ali Zafar’s Teefa In Trouble which is still ranking high by collecting around Rs. 40 crores worldwide.
