The “Jurassic World” franchise is proving an enduring hit with moviegoers. Chris Pratt’s action movie is still leading the global box office, followed by another non-mover, “Incredibles 2,” in second place. The Chinese thriller, “Animal World,” makes a surprise entry at number three, ahead of “Sicario: Day of the Soldado.”
The dinosaurs are proving unstoppable on their global box office rampage, with “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” maintaining the top spot for the weekend of July 1. The latest movie in the “Jurassic Park” franchise edges closer to the billion-dollar mark by adding more than $116 million to its total grosses this weekend.
“Incredibles 2” stays in second place, with grosses totaling over $646 million since the superhero family’s second animated adventure opened in theaters, June 15.
“Animal World” (“Dongwu shijie”), directed by Yan Han makes, a surprise entry to the box office in third place on the podium, ahead of Stefano Sollima’s “Sicario: Day of the Soldado.”
