After 17 years of being hitched, the Bollywood Diva, Kajol, finally revealed why she married her better half, Ajay Devgan, at the peak of her career. The couple tied the knot in 1999 and now are the parents of two, Nysa and Yug.
She took a beautiful trip down memory lane opening up about her personal and professional memories, the incidents, and about her journey with her close friend and mentor Mickey Contractor for Vogue BFFs.
According to the actress, she wanted to take things down a notch and take it easy with her professional career by doing one project a year. She also stated, “It was the right thing for me to do at that point of time. I had been already working for around eight and a half to nine years. So, I was ready to kind of calm down on my work front and kind of take it easier.”
“I was doing four to five films a year. I didn’t want to do only that and to only live like that. That wasn’t what I had set out for. So I assumed that I would get married and do one film a year. I’ll be happier and be more settled.”
The actress also shared that it was pretty clear that she will do “one film a year” after marriage.
She even gave credit to Mickey for her signature unibrow look, claiming that he was the one who encouraged her to stick to it. Vogue BFFs will star other big names like Atul Kasbekar and Sonam Kapoor, which is to come out to Colors Infinity in September.
