Karan Johar is one of the most successful directors of the Indian film industry. He is funny, he is sharp and he is very, VERY smart.

With several projects in the pipeline, an upside down routine and a hardcore schedule, Karan’s way of living can be a little topsy-turvy. But apart from his busy schedule, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director has somehow managed to lose all that extra fat, all thanks to his fitness trainer, Kunal Gir.

This is how Karan looked before his weight loss.

Kunal Gir is known to personally train Ranbir Kapoor for his upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic. It’s reported that Ranbir was the one who referred Kunal to Karan Johar. While talking to a media outlet, Kunal shared on how the ‘ Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director managed to lose all that extra weight in just 4 months.



“When we first met, Karan told me he enjoyed swimming, so I’ve tried to incorporate a high-intensity cardio session in the water as a substitute to regular cardio—and it’s a lot more intense.”

The Times Now News reported that Karan did alternate workouts between weight training and aqua workouts four times a week.

“He eats every three hours. He only eats food cooked in macadamia nut oil, and his fibre intake has increased since his body now responds to higher amounts of fibre,” reported Vogue.

Well, his hard work definitely paid off. Kudos to you, sir!
