Looks like there is a new Hamza in town! Pakistan’s newest face on the TV screens is none other than Hamza Firdous. Hamza is all set to shatter the perceptions of a star child.
It was pure talent that got him the lead in Play Entertainment’s ‘Mujhe Thaam Lay’ and a role in HUM TV’s upcoming drama ‘O Rangreza’.
With the legacy of the talented Firdous Jamal behind him, you might expect doors opening for Hamza left, right and center. Yet, Hamza chose a different route. A route that took him all the way to Dublin, Ireland.
This decision has molded him into the amazing versatile actor that he is. He worked in Irish plays and television shows like the ‘Ripper Street’ and ‘5 cents and the Boyz’.
The fact that Hamza has sprung from theater roots is pretty evident in his performances.
From Irish to Pakistani accent, Hamlet to an Afghani refugee, this artist has all of it covered.
Don’t believe us. Have a look for yourself:
Despite the fact that he has been living abroad for more than a decade. It is refreshing to hear Hamza speak in such refined and fluent Urdu. This is something usually found lacking in the batch of the new generation of actors.
Apart from acting, Hamza dared to take the plunge behind the scenes and this risk has fortunately paid off. As the actor is all set to showcase his short film, ‘Radha’ at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2017.
The son has also directed a sit-com called ‘Yeh Kya Tamasha Hai’ for his father’s production company Firdous Jamal Films.
