It seems like the battle between Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi is getting more intense and it is showing no sign of dying down any time soon.
Yesterday, it was reported that the songstress Meesha Shafi failed to appear in Court to reply to a Rs 1 billion defamation case filed by Ali Zafar.
Moreover, the Additional Sessions Judge Shehzad Ahmed warned Meesha Shafi from giving any derogatory statements against the singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar until the final verdict of the court is given.
The court further gave Meesha Shafi until October 18 to submit a reply in the defamation case.
Well, things are getting uglier between the two and we think that it isn’t going to die down in the near future. We hope that they sort out this chaos as soon as possible.
For those who don’t know, Ali Zafar had filed a defamation suit against Meesha Shafi for accusing him of sexual harassment and it created a stir in the country.
In a statement on Twitter on April 19, Meesha Shafi wrote:
I have been subjected, on more than one occasion, to sexual harassment of a physical nature at the hands of a colleague from my industry: Ali Zafar […] It has been an extremely traumatic experience for me and my family […] I feel betrayed by his behaviour and attitude and I know that I’m not alone.
