Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi’s sexual harassment controversy is making headlines yet again and the battle between them is getting uglier.
With the matter now being handled legally, the court has asked Meesha to reply to Ali’s defamation case of Rs.1 billion.
At their first hearing in the court, that took place on June 25, 2018, Meesha Shafi was supposed to submit her response to the defamation allegations against the pop-singer Ali Zafar. However, the songstress did not appear in court and it issued a stay order in favor of Ali Zafar.
The court then asked Shafi to file her response by July 5, 2018 and she did not appear in the second hearing again.
According to Ahmed Pansota, Meesha Shafi’s lawyer, the reason behind Meesha’s not appearing in the court is that they haven’t received any notice, formally. While talking to The News, they further said that they will appear in the court once they receive the notice.
Well, things are getting uglier between them and we hope that they sort out this chaos as soon as possible.
For those who don’t know, Ali Zafar had filed a defamation suit against Meesha Shafi for accusing him of sexual harassment.
