Marking what would have been the late King of Pop’s 60th birthday, Hugo Boss is reissuing a limited-edition version of the iconic white suit worn by Michael Jackson on the cover of his “Thriller” album.
As well as being jam-packed with hits, Michael Jackson’s 1982 record, “Thriller” — one of the 20th century’s landmark albums — also has an iconic cover, featuring the superstar wearing a white Hugo Boss suit.
In honor of what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday, August 29, the German fashion label is reissuing the famous white suit in a limited drop of just 100, selling for $1,195 apiece, according to the New York Times. The American newspaper also reports that the reissued suit has been updated with a slightly narrower cut, but still features two pleats on the pants and three mother-of-pearl buttons on the jacket cuffs.
Hugo Boss is also releasing three commemorative t-shirts featuring images of the star, who died in 2009.
