The Bajirao Mastani star Ranveer Singh was all set to show his dance steps at the Opening Ceremony of the Indian Premier League’s 11th Edition later this week. Fans and followers of Ranveer Singh were all excited to see him in action but it has been reported that he has opted out of the Opening Ceremony after consulting his doctors.
“After multiple medical checkups, the doctors have strongly advised Ranveer Singh not to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he was doing the grand finale act. They feel his high-energy performance would only overstrain his shoulder and aggravate the injury,” Ranveer’s spokesperson said in a statement.
His spokesperson added that the Padmavaat star injured his shoulder during a football match and the doctors have advised against performing at the event.
The star is working on several projects which include Simmba, Gully Boy and ’83. However, it is informed that Ranveer will continue to shoot for Gully boy as his role in the movie does not require any physical strains.
Ranveer Singh’s upcoming movie, Simmba, is the project of Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty which also will be the debut film of Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan. The cast also includes Sonu Sood, Suresh Oberoi and Nausheen Abbas.
Ranveer Singh is playing the role of a cop in Simmba which is expected to release on December 28, 2018. His unconventional avatar is making his fans and followers curious to watch the movie.
