Earlier this week, University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s Vice-Chancellor announced to celebrate Sisters’ Day on February 14 to “promote Islamic traditions”.

According to the announcement, female students of the university can be gifted scarves and abayahs as gifts on February 14 as it is compatible with Pakistan’s culture and Islam.

The announcement created an uproar on around the country and Twitteratis couldn’t stop talking about it.

The debate over the decision is still getting bigger day by day and a couple of Pakistani celebrities have also reacted over it.

The Diyar-e-Dil actor Osman Khalid Butt was also left all shocked over the announcement and said that the female students should also gift horse blinders to male students.

He said:

Brilliant – though in the interest of fairness, the female students should gift chastity belts/horse blinders to the men, or better yet, have their eyes gouged out?

Similarly, Pakistani comedian Shafaat Ali shared Sherry Rehman’s tweet and said that women are actually not objects.

He tweeted:
