Pakistani Movies Fail To Match Up With Bollywood Movies In 2016

It seems that 2016 has been a great year for Pakistani film Industry but the case seems to be very different. Out of all the movies released this year in Pakistan there were 28% Urdu, 9% Punjabi and 10% Pashto movies.

The movies that did very good business this year were Actor-in-Law, Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay, Jaanan and Ho Mann Jahan.

There has been a lot of back and forth with the bans on Indian movies and the cinemas had to bear the brunt of it. The ban has been lifted now but that will affect the business of the Pakistani movies.

While Pakistani movies had been doing fairly well, their well isn’t good enough. The profits have only touched 20 to 25% which doesn’t even near the amount of profits that Indian movies make from Pakistan.
