PEMRA Issues Notices To 2 Morning Shows Over Inappropriate Content!


PEMRA, Pakistan Electronic Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has served notices to 2 leading TV channels, namely GEO and TVOne.  According to the press release issued by PEMRA, both channels’ morning shows aired inappropriate content.

TVOne’s morning show ‘Aap Ka Sahir’ with Sahir Lodhi received the notice for airing vulgar dances. Sahir and a female guest on the show danced on the live show on the morning of the 14th of March.

PEMRA mentioned that they had been receiving multiple complaints about the morning show and finally decided to act upon it.

PEMRA Issues Notice To HUM TV’s Drama ‘Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain’!

Whereas ‘Geo Pakistan’, the morning show on GEO was notified for showing a boy and girl in an inappropriate scene. This was shown live on the 15th of March.

Both channels have been directed to respond by the 29th of March 2017, after which legal action will be sought.
