Weekend hit for Pixar, “Finding Dory” topped the worldwide box office by reeling in $186.2 million at the international box office. Finding Nemo’s long-awaited sequel also topped the North American box office.
The domestic gross of Pixar’s last movie, “The Good Dinosaur” collected $123 million whereas follow-up “Finding Nemo” exceeded $70.3 million in 2003, went on to gross $340 million and has been Pixar’s most popular movies.
Mr. Hollis added: “The composition of the audience is a bit more general,” he added, “It’s a testament to the movie’s broad appeal.”
