Back in the 90s red, blue, yellow, green and pink weren’t just colours. They symbolised which ‘Power Ranger’ you aspired to become. Now that the Rangers are back today in 2017 with new faces and better-budgeted costumes, it has created a frenzy among the Power Ranger fans.
This reboot is directed by Dean Israelite. It stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks.
Plot:
The story promises to have the same characters portrayed by different actors. It’s the same old story of a group of five ordinary teenagers from Angel Grove, who gain extraordinary super powers. And like all superheroes, they must overcome dramas surrounding their lives and join forces to save the world against Rita Repulsa.
The question in everyone’s mind is if these new versions of Power Rangers pack a punch?
Will they create a fan following as big as it did in the 90s?
IMDb gave the film 7/10 while it hit a low score of 44% on the Rotten Tomatoes. Yet, it’s the comments from fans of the franchise that really count.
Twitter reviews show that the film has fared well amidst die hard fans:

Our Verdict:
The film might be lacking in a coherent plot and the action that is expected from superhero films these days. We wonder if it will gain some new fans. However, for old fans, it is a trip down the memory lane, as nostalgia hits you as soon as the theme song starts.
So what are you waiting for? ‘Go Go Power Rangers’
