The upcoming Indian thriller Maatr will be directed by Ashtar Sayed. Moreover, Raveena Tandon will play the lead role in the film alongside the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ actor, Madhur Mittal.

Raveena will be seen in the role of a mother in the film.

She said,

“This film deals with violence against women. It has become a big concern for our society. I am not particularly talking about rape cases, but all types of violence against women, in which our justice system fails. ‘Maatr’ speaks about the system failure and what really can be done or what should be done when such violence against women happens.”
