Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is all set to embody Sanjay Dutt in the controversial star’s biopic, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Fans have been going crazy with anticipation with how Ranbir will look as a young Sanjay. The first few pictures from the set have surfaced.
In this picture from the sets of the film, currently being shot in Mumbai, Ranbir looks like a young, dashing, Sanjay Dutt.
Ranbir has put on 12 kgs and grown out his hair to play Sanju baba from the 1990s. He was dressed in a baggy shirt, a waist-coat, and dark trousers. Joined by his on-screen dad, Paresh Rawal, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the late Sunil Dutt, wearing a crisp white kurta-pyjama and a Nehru jacket.

The movie went on floors on January 14 and Raju Hirani aims to wrap it up by June.
“We are targeting a Christmas 2017 release,” the director told the tabloid earlier adding. “It’s not a film about guns, drugs and the underworld. It’s a feel-good film about a father-son relationship… A buddy film with Sanju’s many friends adding up to one from the US, played by Vicky Kaushal.”
The biopic also features Anushka Sharma, who plays a journalist, Dia Mirza will be seen playing Sanjay’s wife Maanayata and Sonam Kapoor reunites with him to embody all the women in Sanjay’s life. The movie marks a comeback for Manisha Koirala, who will play Sanjay’s late mother, actress Nargis.
