Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is not only one of the finest actors in India but also one of the most controversial ones. He has been known for his straight-forwardness that sometimes doesn’t go well in India and sometimes in Pakistan. In his autobiography Khullam Khulla published earlier this year, he caused an uproar in India by terming himself a Beef Eating Hindu and also by pointing out that all is not well in Kashmir. A few days back he indirectly stated that Kashmir issue should be resolved so that he can visit Pakistan with his family – something that full takers of Kashmir didn’t agree with.
But recently, the Prem Rog star won hearts of all by tweeting his wishes on Eid e Milad un Nabi which surprised many of his fans, followers and even detractors.
Eid Milad-Un-Nabi Mubarak! Prayers offered at Jama Masjid,New Delhi. pic.twitter.com/o6yXpg9Kle
— Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) December 2, 2017
The tweet was accompanied by Rishi Kapoor’s picture where he was seen standing at the Jama Masjid Delhi observing the namazis offering Juma prayers. This is not the first time his tweet has made people smile on this side of the border; last year he tweeted about Sarfraz Nawaz while visiting Melbourne Cricket Stadium while has also tweeted greetings on Eid to Muslims all over the world.
Rishi Kapoor has a huge fan following in Pakistan and he values the country as well, considering his grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor and father Raj Kapoor were born in Faisalabad and Peshawar when they were part of the United India. He may be criticized for his tweets and opinions but he knows how to make a grand entry. The heartthrob of the 70s and the 80s surely melted the hearts of many by wishing them on one of the biggest days in the Islamic calendar and many might have forgotten him for his past comments on social media.
