Salman Khan who is known to strip his shirt off in almost all of his movies is now set to highlight male striptease in his next production.
According to reports, the upcoming production will be a biopic on Somen Banerjee, a Bengali immigrant, entrepreneur, and founder of a male strip club (Chippendales) . The movie will feature his journey from rags to riches. Somen committed suicide in a downtown jail cell on October 23, 1994.
As per Times of India, Salman confirmed the news saying, “A Bengali man, who moved from India to America in the late 60s, struggled and created one of America’s most iconic brands. We are going to tell the story of Somen Banerjee, a man driven by fierce ambition, on celluloid,”
Amar Butala of Salman’s production house also added, “The story of Somen Banerjee has all the shades of a gangster film — raw greed, power and violence. We’re currently working on the script and the plan is two-fold — to produce a feature film and to develop it as a mini-series as well.”
