Sanam Baloch To Make An Acting Comeback In Sarmad Khoosat’s Defence Day Telefilm


After a three-year-long break from acting  and only hosting her morning show, actor-host Sanam Baloch is finally ready to make her acting comeback with Sarmad Khoosat’s Defence Day telefilm in which she will be seen playing tribute to Marium Mukhtar – the first woman fighter pilot of Pakistan to die in the line of duty.

Directed by Sarmad Khoosat and written by Umera Ahmed this will be Urdu 1’s collaborative project with the Pakistan Air Force and Sanam Saeed is both excited and nervous. She confessed, “This time I’m extra nervous since it’s going to be my appearance after so long. This particular short film is going to be very challenging for me. I’ll have to live the life of someone extraordinary.”

“When I came to know it’s about Marium Mukhtar and I had to portray her, I decided I have to do it no matter what, although I was in talks with someone else as well for July,” she further revealed!

Sanam Baloch has clearly evolved as an actor with ventures such as Dastaan and Kankar to her name. She has earned a major fan following not only nationally but internationally as well, so it’s safe to say that she will try and give this project her best and do justice to the role she plays.

Reports suggest that the shooting will begin this month, whereas the telefilm will be aired on Urdu1 as a Special Defence Day telefilm on the 6th of September.
