Renowned actor and director Sarmad Khoosat recently received a Pride of Performance award, from the governor of Punjab on Thursday 23rd March 2017.
The governor of Punjab M. Rafique Rajwana presented the award in an impressive investiture ceremony. Around 23 awards were given to recipients of Pakistan Civil Awards on behalf of the President.

Dr Muhammad Ashraf Tahir, Abdul Majid Azhar, Dr Abubaker Shahid, Rashid Mahmood, Javed Iqbal, Ashraf Sharif, Muhammad Zahid Masood, Amar Elahi alias Roohi Kunjahi and Muhammad Shafi Shakir Shuja Abad were amongst the other recipients of the Pride of Performance award.
The governor gave Sitara-i-Imtiaz to Dr Muhammad Iqbal, Prof Dr. Muhammad Aslam Noor, Prof Dr Eice Muhammad, Mustansar Hussain Tarar and Ch Arif Saeed.
Recipients of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz were Atif Inayat, Dr Naveed Ishtiaq, Nazeer Amer (Late), Mrs Parveen Malik, Muhammad Jalil Aali, Shahbaz Hussain, Liaquat Ali Warraich and Tanvirul Islam Khawaja (Late).
