A pop-up exhibition coming to Hollywood promises Netflix fans a chance to go deeper into their favorite shows, with visual installations devoted to “Stranger Things,” “The Crown,” “Glow,” “Mindhunter” and more.
Costumes, props and set pieces from those shows and others such as “Black Mirror” and “Ozark” promise selfie opportunities galore, with teaser images revealing a “Glow”-themed wrestling ring, a “Stranger Things” retro arcade corner and photo-friendly backdrop, a saloon from “Godless” and a Queen-worthy wedding dress courtesy of “The Crown.”
“Because You Watched” runs June 15-17 at Hollywood’s Raleigh Studios. Tickets (free) are likely to be hard to come by, but potential visitors can get online June 7 when a new batch is released at 12pm Pacific time.
The immersive, selfie-geared exhibition is the latest in a string of such made-for-Instagram pop-ups, as epitomized by the traveling Museum of Ice Cream. A day after the Netflix show opens, San Diego will become the site of the similarly selfie-minded pop-up The Cado, devoted to the beloved fatty fruit.
