While some of the fans have praised the couple looking good, there were others who were unable to focus on anything else but Syra’s dress! Someone actually commented that Syra is a “western wannabe.”

There was this other FB user who commented on her picture by saying:

“Tattoos n wearing skirt style dresses doesn’t make u modern but give a label of western wanabies.”

‘Make your own magic’ and @tenadurrani you always do. You the best ??

One fan commented in Syra’s support, saying:

“Okay she may be NOT be dressed according to Islam. But why do you guys have a problem when her HUSBAND is okay with it! Seriously get a life. Jealous log.”

There was this other person who just plainly judged Shahroz Sabzwari for Syra’s dressing.

“Mard ki gherat ka andaza us ki orat k libas se lgaya ja skta hai”

Since winter is here, somene showed care for her well-being as well.

“Isy sarde ni lag rahe.”

There was this girl who got pretty serious. She wrote in the comments:

“Mr. Behroz Sabzwari once said: My son offers prayers regularly and reads Quran daily after Fajer, as in Tilawat. SubhanAllah… Kaash Shehroz translation with meaning bhi understand kerlete.”

Syra has attracted a lot of hate for showing up at an event with her husband wearing a western attire. This is not the first time a celebrity is being targeted for their dressing on social media. Whether it is Mahira Khan or Saba Qamar or Sadaf Kanwal… all the leading ladies of our Pakistani film, TV and modelling industry have become a target of the internet for one reason or the other.

We can only hope that people will soon find better things to do on the internet apart from bashing other people!
