Upcoming Movies To Watch on Eid ul Fitr 2017


New clothes, new shoes and a great deal of hullabulloo is what Eid in Pakistan is all about! Going out, meeting relatives, dining and so much more. So what’s better than watching the latest movie and chilling out at the cinema! (This heat is truly driving us crazy!)

Eid ul Fitr is just days away and here we have a run down of all the movies hitting the cinema screens! Take a look below:


Mehrunisa V Lub U

Mehrunisa V Lub U is Yasir Nawaz’s second movie and this one also stars Danish Taimoor in the lead role. Debuting this year is television sweetheart Sana Javed! Mehrunisa V Lub U packs a punch, with romance blossoming amidst snow-clad mountains, street fights, a son standing up to his father and of course, a dance number.

Yalghaar will be released in 60 countries worldwide and will be screened in 1600 cinemas. This will be the first Pakistani movie to go to China.

It is the most expensive Pakistani film till date with a budget of Rs. 50 crore, and has been shot in Karachi, Swat, Islamabad, and Tarbela.

Ali Azmat and Urwa Hocane starrer romantic comedy, Jhol was to release this Eid. Directed by Shahid Shafaat, the movie also stars Bilal Ashraf and Salim Meraj in pivotal roles.

Ayesha Omar will be doing an item number in the upcoming movie, but sadly, we won’t be seeing it this Eid.

Shoaib Mansoor’s upcoming movie Verna was all set to release on Eid 2017. Featuring Mahira Khan in the lead role and newbie Haroon Shahid as the male lead, Verna is a tale about women empowerment.

However, no promotions have begun, nor any official statement for the release has been announced. Seems like we won’t be seeing the gorgeous Mahira in cinemas this Eid.

Geo Sar Utha Kay

Geo Sar Utha Kay is a film based on the story of the notorious ‘Chottu Gang’ of Rajanpur. Directed and produced by Nadeem Cheema, ‘Geo Sar Utha Kay’ will be starring Babar Ali,  Umar Cheema, Yasir Khan, Naeem Khan, Areeba Khan, Shafqat Cheema, Nayyer Ijaz, Ahmad Qaynaat, Rana Rashid  Mehmood Arshad and debutante Shehryar Khan as the lead actor.

Pakistani Movie Geo Sar Utha Kay Trailer Disappoints!



Tubelight is an upcoming Indian war drama film written, and directed by Kabir Khan. Set in the 1962 Sino-Indian War, it stars Salman Khan in the lead role who plays a man from India. Tubelight tells the story of one man’s love for his family and his unshakeable belief in himself.

The film is scheduled for release on 23 June 2017. It is an adaptation of 2015 film Little Boy.
