Mahira Khan is all set to take to the big screen again along with Haroon Shahid and Zarrar Khan, all of whom are set to feature in highly acclaimed director, Shoaib Mansoor’s comeback film – Verna.

Following in the footsteps of his previous films – Khuda Ke Liye and Bol, Verna looks to tackle some of societies bigger issues regarding women, which we don’t normally talk about.

With the trailer finally dropping, it’s easy to see that the director has maintained his stance of creating hard-hitting, attention-grabbing films.

For the time and age were currently in, films like these are what it takes to break through the clutter and actually deliver a message that the masses might understand.

The trailer starts off as any regular film featuring a married couple. However, with each passing second, you see a new layer is added to the mix. With the addition of each layer, the movie seems to break into a new direction. It’s rather interesting to see just where the movie is going to end up going because despite not giving away too much of the story the trailer has done more than enough to peek the interests of viewers across the world.

The movie looks like its going to address the issues faced by Pakistani women in today’s pressing times. Given the recent controversies involving Mahira herself, the movie couldn’t be timed for a better release date.

Dedicating this post to the beautiful #MahiraKhan who always manages to look so chic. #pakistan #celeb #2017

Surely, Verna looks like its going to address the issues faced by Pakistani women in today’s pressing times.

Given the recent controversies involving Mahira herself, the movie couldn’t be timed for a better release date.

Apart from that, Shoaib Mansoor looks to be taking his own filmmaking to the next level as he seems to be experimenting with a number of new shooting techniques, which he hasn’t really used before. If done correctly, this new shooting style mixed with the brilliant score and the hard-hitting dialogues could lead to one of the biggest films to ever come out of the country.
