Subscription movie streaming service FilmStruck will soon be available in France and Spain, as it continues its international rollout, supported by its backers — Turner International’s Digital Ventures and Innovation Group (DV&I) and Warner Bros Digital Networks (WBDN).
While exact launch dates and pricing details are yet to be revealed, users of the bespoke SVOD services will have access to a catalogue which includes films from the Warner Bros and Criterion Collection libraries, as well as titles from other global and local content partners.
In France specifically, the FilmStruck offering will feature films from Carlotta Films, MK2, RKO and StudioCanal; while the Spanish version of the service will provide access to movies from Wanda, Caramel and A Contracorriente Films.
Commenting on the company’s continued expansion into Europe, following the launch of the UK-focused service in February, Aksel van der Wal, executive vice president DV&I, Turner International, said: “France and Spain both have a rich heritage in and love for movies, as well as being rapidly developing SVOD markets, which makes them both exciting markets to tap into with what we believe is a fresh and differentiated offering working with fantastic content partners.”
